Dog Boarding & Daycare
West Wilts Care 4 Pets offer a home dog boarding service as an alternative to kennels which is based in Melksham, Wiltshire. I provide dogs with a home from home environment and will follow their usual routine as closely as possible. Dog walking is included in the fee.
Doggie daycare may be an option for you if you work long hours, or on other occasions where you are away from home for a long period of time during the day. Dog walking is included in the fee.
Dog Boarding
I am licensed to board a maximum of six dogs in my home in Melksham, Wiltshire. Your dog(s) will be living in the house and will have a warm, clean and spacious room for sleeping in. Your dog will be walked daily and have access to the good sized secure garden. They will receive plenty of attention and interaction and you can rest assured that your pet will be well cared for while you are away.
Home boarding may not be a suitable option for some dogs:-

I only board dogs which are small to medium sized. So up to around the size of a Spaniel. Sorry but I do not board large or giant breeds.

Dogs must not be overly boisterous or dominant in nature.

Dogs must be over 6 months of age and must be house trained and past the chewing stage.

I am unable to home board dogs who have ever shown aggression to other dogs, adults or children.

My insurance does not cover me to board dangerous dog breeds.

I cannot board dogs that are likely to bark and howl all night, I have neighbours and my family to consider!

Male dogs must be neutered.

With regard to my boarding license, dogs must be up to date with their annual vaccinations and Kennel cough vaccine. Please ensure Kennel cough vaccine is administered at least 2 weeks before your dog is due to stay. Please provide a photo copy of vaccine documentation.
Boarding Fee
1 dog - £25.00 per night
2 dogs - £37.00 per night
3 dogs - £49.00 per night

Festive season
Double charge will apply for Christmas day and new years day.

(An AM drop off and an AM collection counts as a one night fee.
An AM drop off and a PM collection counts as a one night fee plus a day care fee.)

The things I ask you to provide are:

I have plenty of dog beds here, but feel free to bring your dog's own bed if you think they would be happier with it, or maybe just a blanket of their own from home.

Completed booking form and copy of vaccine documentation.
Daycare
West Wilts Care 4 Pets offers a day care service based at my home in Melksham, Wiltshire where you can drop your dog(s) off before you go to work or out for the day and then collect them when you return.
The same care is provided as with home boarding, the only difference is that your dog will not stay overnight.
Day care fee
1 dog - £20.00 per day
2 dogs - £30.00 per day
3 dogs - £40.00 per day
Dog walking is included in the fee.

Dog Walking
Many dog owners lead busy lives with work and family commitments, or are unable to get out themselves for a variety of reasons. My dog walking service could be an option for you if your dog is being left home alone too long. Ideally, a dog shouldn’t be left alone for more than 4 hours.
A mutually convenient time will be arranged to meet at your home when I can meet you and your dog(s). We will discuss your requirements and I will provide you with a copy of my terms and conditions. We can also talk about any queries that you may have about my dog walking service. Myself and/or my partner Mark, are the only people who walk the dogs at West Wilts Care 4 Pets.

• Dogs are walked in groups of no more than six.
• Solo dog walking is available if requested, at extra cost.
• Your dog(s) will be walked in a variety of locations in the area or if you prefer, in a location of your choice.
• We do not walk bitches that are in season but I can still visit her and play in your garden or just be company for her if you are out at work.
• We will only walk dogs that have not shown any form of aggression towards adults, children and other dogs.
• Your dog must be fully vaccinated.
• We are insured but I do recommend that you have your own pet insurance.
• Keys are stored in a key safe and have no reference with them to your home address.

Dog walking fees
1 hr walk for 1 dog - £14.00
Half price for each additional dog from same household.
*We cover Bowerhill and Melksham for dog walking.
